Sigurdsson arrival to release Barkley

TRANSFER TALK

Ross Barkley is injured so there is no rush to sign him and Everton are still trying to sign ex-Tottenham man Gylfi Sigurdsson, we are not by the way. They won't release Barkley until Sigurdsson signs or they sign another replacement. That is quite common and it is the same policy we often use, see Davinson Sanchez and Kevin Wimmer for instance.

Barkley wants Tottenham, he doesn't want to go elsewhere so it doesn't matter if Manchester United, Chelsea or Arsenal make moves, he wants to work with Pochettino. The stories of wages being an issue, is, as I have said before, complete press invention. As reported previously, he agreed personal terms with us ages ago.

Barkley has seen what Pochettino has done for other England internationals and he wants to improve his game, he feels Pochettino can do that for him. That is a powerful force so other stories the press come up with are of no concern as far as I am concerned.
